In support of a staffing recommendation for the 2021-22 school year that was approved on March 25| 2021| the administration surveyed student interest in courses at each school then the master schedule was produced by the administration with certain scheduling conflicts for some students. Please provide the total number of students at Hinsdale South and the total number of students at Hinsdale Central that have experienced a scheduling conflict with any one of their courses (including any conflicts that were “resolved”) for the 2021-2022 school year.

Response:

The District has reviewed its files and has located information responsive to your request. Scheduling logs from the District’s student information system [eSchool]| used to generate student schedules electronically| provide a point-in-time count of student schedule conflicts produced by the eSchool scheduler from the master schedule as of that date. Following electronic scheduling| the counseling departments in each building work to manually address schedule conflicts and course change requests. Only students whose course requests were complete as of the date of the last log are reflected in these counts.
