Response:

Pursuant to FOIA Section 7(1)(b)| we excluded private information| which includes personal email addresses| home addresses| social security numbers| employee identification numbers| personal financial information| and home or personal phone numbers. See 5 ILCS 140/2(c-5). We redacted signatures per FOIA exemptions 7(1)
(b) and 7(1)(c). Additionally| pursuant to FOIA Section 7(1)(c)| we excluded personal information whose disclosure would constitute an unwarranted invasion of privacy| such as references and previous salaries. 5 ILCS 140/7(1)(c); 2010 PAC 9252 (references); 2011 PAC 14307 (past salaries). Lastly| in reviewing emails| we have not included as responsive records| emails that simply included “NISE Board of Directors” or “NISE Board Member” in Dr. Baker’s signature block.
