To the extent it is relevant to this request R000925-092121| Proposed New Course Materials – SY 2021-2022 [page 21] includes the following notation for three proposed texts: “In line with our CELT mission| this text increase the diversity of voices in the curriculum.” Please note: The Vanishing Half – Brit Bennett – not used as a whole-class text. Some teachers are planning to use this text as one option from among many in “book clubs” Sing| Unburied| Sing – Jesmyn Ward – This will be a core text for some AP Lit sections during second semester this school year.
